As a project manager of varied experience, Melissa is a well-rounded design forward professional. Melissa has a history of community service, including the Topeka Mayor’s ADA Advisory Council, AIA Topeka board, the Historic Jayhawk Theatre board, the Constitution Hall Free State Capitol of Kansas board, and the Heartland Visioning Taskforce. Her areas of focus are historic preservation, adaptive re-use, accessibility, and residential. Melissa’s primary objective is to make architecture attainable and fundamentally relatable.  She prides herself in providing an ego-free, personable experience.  She draws from professional experience combined with a client-centered collaborative approach, to thoughtfully guiding the client to realize their vision. She believes her primary role is to serve, and she feels the people she serves make the work deeply rewarding

Melissa is a native of Lawrence, Kansas, graduate of Kansas State University, and is a proud mother to two daughters and two cats.  She enjoys live concerts, craft cocktails, theater, tennis, hiking, nature photography, and mycology.  She derives professional inspiration from her travels, whether by connecting with nature, exploring the built environment, or by simply meeting new people and sharing a conversation
