Responsible for movie theater project design including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documentation phases, and for coordinating team members. Plan, schedule, organize, and execute portions of projects under the oversight of Partners; provide major input in the development of the design concept, incorporating all required systems. Responsible for the execution of a project or a portion of a project’s conceptual design, subsequent design development and relevant quality control efforts during all phases of project while working in close collaboration with consultants. Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s design philosophy and provide input in developing a design and building performance strategy. Seek creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develop appropriate research and documentation to support these solutions. Actively collaborate with and coordinate the work of consultants to ensure that project deliverables are integrated and support the design concept and performance goals of the client. Lead the preparation of design and construction documents; assist in the review of project documents with the client; assist with checking and coordinating project documents (including drawing set organization, details, dimensions, specifications). Contribute to material and building systems research and participate in the preparation of project specifications. Review shop drawings and sample submittals, respond to general contractor questions, prepare punch-lists at project completion and perform field observation of the work.

Requires: Master’s degree in Architecture, plus one year of experience in the design of movie theaters. Experience must include movie theater architecture, engineering, construction, acoustical design and business operations. Working knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling), Revit, AutoCad, Sketchup, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite software. Must be actively pursuing architectural licensure. Requires travel to project sites up to 20% of the time.
