Garmin International hosted the KC D&I Consortium highlighting millennial and gen-z engagement in the workforce. GastingerWalker's Samantha McCloud shared insights on Architecture and Inclusion. GastingerWalker is not only committed excellence in design, but also to building an inclusive and diverse community. We believe an organization that reflects the diversity of our clients and their markets will produce deeper relationships, engagement, and understanding.
Always an amazing event. Thanks to all who participated in Canstruction 2017!
We were thrilled that over 3,000 cans were used in GastingerWalker&'s Platform 9 3/4 at King’s Cross Station that will get contributed to Harvesters.
The cans used will feed a lot of families.
Great Day at the 20/20 Leadership Business Expo at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center! Samantha McCloud and Kyle Waggoner went to represent GastingerWalker& and share their experience. The Business Expo is an opportunity for students to meet and interact with professionals from a variety of fields to understand their careers, as well as the education required to work on those roles.
Yesterday GastingerWalker& got the opportunity to compete in Kansas City’s Harvesters Canstruction event. Canstruction is design/build competition to canstruct a world without hunger. Teams of architects, engineers and contractors are given one day, only twelve hours, to build fantastic structures designed entirely out of canned and boxed foods. The food is then donated to local charities. This year, our theme was “CAN-PING in the national parks” What a blast! The GastingerWalker& team members were Dan Nenonen, Captain, Matt Gearheart, Mike Fahey, Amanda Neugebauer, Leslie Wright, Lillian Cooper, Melissa Brown, Matt Graham, Stacy Watson, Samantha McCloud, Erich Torneden and Nicole Luby. The exhibit can been seen at Oak Park Mall through February 23rd. If you would like to vote for our structure, vote for it atwww.harvesters.org/event
